Living at home during a renovation
Dust, noise, kitchens and kettles: how to stay sane while the builders are in.

Tom Whitlock
Site manager

Most of our clients stay at home during extensions and lofts. It works best with a plan: which rooms close when, where the temporary kitchen goes, and when water or power will be off.
We seal off work areas with zip doors and dust sheets, protect floors and stairs, and clean up at the end of every day.
The hardest weeks are usually when we break through to the house. We tell you well in advance so you can plan a weekend away if you’d like.
And we always leave you a working kettle.
